The Registry employs a team of highly experienced professionals.

The Registry employs highly professional and legally qualified staff who ensure that Will registrations and Probate applications are handled efficiently and with the upmost sensitivity and confidentiality.

 


Sean Hird - Director

Sean joined the Registry as its first Director in January 2016 and is responsible for managing the Registry’s day-to-day operations, increasing public awareness of its services and building its business. He is a highly-experienced C level executive and a UK qualified solicitor. Sean previously worked for international law firms Clifford Chance and Addleshaw Goddard and in leadership positions across a range of different sectors in both the UK and Australia. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Genetics, a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Science and a PhD in Genetics from Cambridge University.

Shannon Herriot - Senior Registry Officer

Shannon joined the Registry in May 2015.  In her role as a Senior Registry Officer she manages and conducts Will registrations and supports lawyers on the Register of Will Draftsmen to provide the best possible service to their clients. Shannon is also responsible for supporting the Registry’s marketing efforts and public outreach activities. She was raised in Saudi Arabia and prior to joining the Registry worked in Dubai in the education sector as a Legal Assistant managing new company registrations. She has a LLB (Hons) degree (2.1) from the University of Edinburgh.

Camilla Sevaldsen - Registry Officer

Camilla joined the Registry as a Registry Officer in December 2016.  She handles Will registration appointments, facilitates the probate process, and assists with the general growth and development of the DIFC Wills and Probate Registry.  Prior to joining, Camilla worked as a Junior Associate at a law firm in Dubai.  She graduated from the University of Glasgow, completed her LLM from the University of Copenhagen and is a part-qualified Danish lawyer.

Victoria Perkin - Legal Consultant

Victoria joined the Registry as a Legal Consultant in August 2016.  She is a UK qualified solicitor and an affiliate member of STEP (UK) and is responsible for the developmental aspects of the Registry’s Rules and the drafting of new Practice Directions. She is also responsible for assessing applications from lawyers wishing to be listed on the Register of Will Draftsmen. Prior to joining, Victoria practiced as a Private Client Solicitor in Dubai.  Before relocating to Dubai, she practiced in the UK advising clients on succession planning and inheritance tax issues. She graduated from the University of Warwick, UK with a BA in Law and Business Studies.

Sharini Abdulsabur - Administrative Assistant

Sharini joined the Registry as an Administrative Assistant in November 2015.  She handles the administration of the Probate applications, payments, storage and recordal of registered Wills and supports the Registry Officers with Will registrations. Prior to joining, she worked as a Legal Administrator at a Free Zone Authority in Dubai handling company registrations and also as a Senior Paralegal at a local law firm. She graduated from the Philippines with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Bachelor of Laws.

Nilofer Dsouza - Customer Service Coordinator

Nilofer joined the Registry as its new Customer Service Coordinator in January 2017 and handles all customer enquiries and appointment bookings.  Prior to joining, Nilofer worked as a Customer Support Officer for the DIFC Courts in 2014 and then as the Department Coordinator for the Academy of Law in 2015, managing events, course registrations and the day-to-day functioning of the Pro Bono Programme.  She graduated from the University of Toronto with a BA (Hons) in History, English and Cultural Anthropology.
