Register Of Will Draftsmen

A list of lawyers who meet the minimum standards of competency for drafting DIFC wills.


Becoming Registered

Pursuant to the Practice Direction issued by the Dispute Resolution Authority on the 9th of February 2016 (known as PD 1/2016) all lawyers advising on the drafting and registration of DIFC Wills must be registered with the DIFC Wills and Probate Registry (the ‘Registry’). That Practice Direction sets out the requirements for registration. Those persons seeking listing as a Registered Will Draftsman should contact the Registry for further details. To support those lawyers who wish to be listed but lack the requisite knowledge of, and/or experience in drafting DIFC Wills the Registry in conjunction with the Dispute Resolution Authority’s Academy of Law offers training courses (for further information, contact us at this link).
